Transgender Pride

The Transgender Pride Flag was given to us by Monica Helms in 1999. Ms. Helms is not only a transgender activist but also a Navy veteran. The flag she created now flies in the Smithsonian Natural Musem of American History. The flag was first seen in public at a Phoenix Pride parade in 2000.

The colors were carefully chosen and arranged to be as beautiful as they are meaningful.

  • Light Blue: The traditional color representing boys
  • Light Pink: The traditional color representing girls
  • White: Represents all those who are intersex, transitioning, or consider themselves as outside the traditional gender binary.
